Well, I'm pretty much getting fed up w/ my current job and have started to look elsewhere. I've found 2 or 3 strong fits over @ Harris, just trying to weigh the pro's con's of the potential move in jobs. I love the flexibility I have with my current company, but if I stay here, I will never be viewed as more than just a tech. At Harris, it's a HUGE company, tons of room to grow/advance, however the flexibility isn't as good, if at all, as what I currently have. It'd still be local so commute time isn't a factor. Thoughts, suggestions? Oh, and the pay if I were to move could be anywhere from 10-20% higher than what I'm making now...which would be a VERY nice bump.

Yeah, that's one of the "cons" lol It'd be a lot more "professional", but then again, I'll be 30 soon, time to grow up and start planning for the future and not just 1-2 years down the road...

Well workplace flexibility is valuable so think about that before you make a decision.

Oh I am. I have a TON of flexibility here, just no room for advancement....that's the kicker for me. Everyone says money isn't everything, but try living without it. It's VERY difficult, as a lot of us know first hand. However on the flip side, having flexibility and being happy with your job is another major thing to consider, but I only have 1 of those 2 at the moment.

I do, but lack of funds and my child just being boring has not allowed me a chance to go. Hopefully I can make it to wintergreen at least once this year.

so say, I was buying a civic coupe from someone. we wrote up a contract and everything. they are selling it for $1,000 with a slippin clutch. I've paid $400 on it so far. the person who owns the civic has a say 2008 civic. she totals it with her lead foot non driving ass typical woman. She then drives the civic around and burns out the clutch 100% where it wont start anymore within a week. she then says "I'm not selling you the car cause I don't want to rip you off cuz it wont start" we say no, we will take it how it sits, we don't care. she says no yada yada, gonna give mony back. can she still do that? this is some BS!!!! even though we have a written contract?
